Equi-Soft® Pads by Mattes for Girths

The Stübben Equi-Soft® Lambskin Pad by Mattes is the suitable replacement padding for the Equi-Soft® girth. Thanks to the integrated hook-and-loop system, the pad can be attached quickly and securely to the girth. The natural lambskin used ensures even pressure distribution and high wearing comfort. Production is carried out meticulously by hand according to Mattes quality standards.

Care and storage of the lambskin pad

To maintain the function and quality of the lambskin in the long term, regular and material-appropriate care is required. If used two to three times a week, washing every two weeks or so is recommended. Heavily sweaty pads should be cleaned promptly, as residues in sweat can damage the lambskin.

• • machine wash at 30 °C on a gentle or normal cycle
• • use the "water plus" option or add 3–4 liters of water after approx. 10 minutes
• • use only special lambskin detergent, e.g. MELP by Mattes
• • no fabric softener or bleach
• • do not overload the washing machine

After washing, remove the pad immediately from the machine. Drying can be done in a tumble dryer at a maximum of 30 °C (cold or cool setting) or alternatively air-dried in the shade. Direct heat or sunlight should be avoided. The lambskin must be completely dry before re-use.

For storage, keep the lambskin pad in a dry, airy, and shaded place. Storage in plastic bags is not suitable. For longer storage, it is recommended to wash and completely dry the pad beforehand, and to use suitable moth protection.
