Selenium is an essential trace element that the body cannot produce on its own, which is why it must be supplied to the horse through feed. However, there is now far too little selenium in grass and hay to cover the daily requirement. The most common symptoms of selenium deficiency are susceptibility to infection, reduced performance, muscle stiffness, and muscle pain. Orthosal Selenium contains exclusively organically bound selenium. This supplementary feed is ideal for supporting the immune system.
